[OT] Game design sites suitable for kids - any recommendations?

I occasionally get asked if I can list some sites on game design and
programming. I honestly don’t hang around any of those kinds of sites,
mostly because I focus on SDL & Linux, so I have what I need here. ;^)

Recently (and within a week of each other!) two completely unrelated people
asked if I can suggest some sites for their kids. (One is 10, the other
about 12.)

Can anyone suggest something? Please e-mail me offline.

Sorry for the off-topic post. I just don’t have time to research this, *
but I feel I should get back to these folks before their kids are heading
off to college. ;^)

  • PS - If anyone here would like to chew my food for me, too… :^)
