OT: what's the trick making .dll with libsdl.org crosscompiler

Hi,

I have my own project that I want to build a windows dll, thereby
using the crosscompiler that can be found at libsdl.org. After lots
of trial-and-error, I was able to build one using the libtool-snippets
from the sdl-tarball. I did think it was a patched libtool somehow.

I did now install the latest autotools from their respective cvs
areas, autoconf, automake, libtool - updating my project with that
libtool will not build .dlls.

Is SDL using a patched libtool and Has the patch not been merged
to the official libtool project? If no, why, and when then?

TIA,

Is SDL using a patched libtool

Yes. There are lots and lots of patches to the version SDL uses.

Has the patch not been merged
to the official libtool project? If no, why, and when then?

No, because when I sent a patch to the maintainers of libtool, they
said that they needed a patch against the original .in sources of
libtool, which I no longer have.

Where is the cross compiler at? I’ve looked over the libsdl.org page with
no luck finding it.
