The patch below corrects an invalid asm statement - needed
for compiling hexen 0.2.2 under gcc 2.95.
I’ve applied the patch (patch -p1 < hexen.diff), but I
(still) get this error while executing hexen:
[stephan at maskinen /tmp/hexen-0.2.2]$ ./hexen
V_Init: allocate screens.
M_LoadDefaults: Load system defaults.
W_Init: Init WADfiles.
Wad file hexen.wad doesn’t have IWAD or PWAD id
The hexen.wad is downloaded from the homepage:
[stephan at maskinen /tmp/hexen-0.2.2]$ ls -l hexen.wad
-rw-rw-r-- 1 stephan stephan 5199780 Dec 28 02:47 hexen.wad
I configured and compiled without any problems with:
[stephan at maskinen /tmp/hexen-0.2.2]$ CFLAGS="-O5 -mpentium" ./configure
[stephan at maskinen /tmp/hexen-0.2.2]$ CFLAGS="-O5 -mpentium" make
Any hints? On Mon, 27 Dec 1999, Markus F.X.J. Oberhumer wrote:
