I got really used to using ‘playwave’ to listen to WAVs
(it gets compiled/installed when you install SDL_mixer from source)
For some reason, it doesn’t appear to be installed when one installs
the SDL_mixer/-devel packages for Debian.
Is it packaged separately? Or should I just do a source install to
get it?
Thx!

(SMPEG deb pkgs seemed to come with ‘plaympeg’ )
Don’t know about SDL_mixer, but get ‘sox’ instead, it comes with a 'play’
command which is not only shorter to type, but also sports a great deal
of options (e.g. pitch shifting).

Ah-hah! That’s where plain ol’ “play” comes from. Thx!
