Please commit to a release schedule for 1.3

There are many valuable features in the development branch for 1.3, but they are being held up by other features that are “necessary” for 1.3 but don’t appear as critical as some of the code already implemented (looking at you, multiwindow).

Please commit to a date, preferably soonish, by which to release 1.3; and if a feature isn’t done by that time, put it into 1.3.1 or even 1.4.

It does not seem fair that Multiwindow support cannot be used on a PC because iPhone support is not finished yet.

I know I can build 1.3 from source but releasing it with a version number will allow bundling it into package managers.

With regards.

Last time i checked multiwindow support it was working fine.On Sun, Nov 6, 2011 at 1:02 PM, FeepingCreature <default_357-line at yahoo.de> wrote:

I meant that in the sense of “can’t use because don’t have access to it because there’s no version-numbered form of SDL 1.3 that can be packaged and distributed”.On 11/06/11 12:41, Dimitris Zenios wrote:

There are still bug reports coming from SDL 1.3 every week, so I think it’s
a smart move to not have a release date until most of the bugs are
squashed. If you really want to distribute SDL 1.3 in some way, you could
fork the repo, and come up with your own packaging logic and release it
that way.
Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait like the rest of us.

PS: It didn’t bother me, but you sounded very demandish, almost
disrespectful to the SDL developers. It may not have been your intention,
but some members of this forum/mailing list may take offense. On Sun, Nov 6, 2011 at 7:37 AM, FeepingCreature <default_357-line at yahoo.de>wrote:

You can also distribute SDL 1.3 with your applications and not depend
on various distribution and packaging. On Sun, Nov 6, 2011 at 4:44 PM, Alex Barry <alex.barry at gmail.com> wrote:
