PNG that crashes SDL_image

here is an url to a png image that is crashing SDL_image on windows.
http://pygame.seul.org/ftp/contrib/crasher.png

strangely enough, if i load the image in a simple freeware
image display program and save it out as a new PNG file,
the new file is loaded fine by SDL_image.

i also noticed internet explorer can display the PNG image
fine also. it’s just crashing in SDL_image.

is there a solution or workaround possible? thanks

I just tried this with SDL_image 1.0.10, SDL 1.1.7, and libpng v. 1.0.8 with
the showimage application. Everything worked fine.

Ryan Phillips
