Its posible that SDL or XV can`t make overlay less
than 200x200 pixels with out errors?

I have compiled and executed your example with 640x480, 100x100 and 10x10
video size and didn’t get any error.

I am using SDL 1.2.7 on GNU/Linux/X11.
