Visual C++ 6 Professional. Profiling never worked before or after
installing visual studio servicepack 5.

This is sort of weird; I have the very same problem at my work
machine. But on my friends at the same work profiling works. I just
don’t know what prevents it on my setups…

Has to do with registry permissions.

Thanks! I guessed something like this was going on. I wonder
why they didn’t fix this with sp5…
