so now that the mouse buttons are “fixed” can someone tell me if the
problem was with 1.2 or just 1.3? I have an application that relies on
left mouse and right mouse and it seemed to be working fine in 1.2.

I just want to make sure that there isn’t something lurking in 1.2
that I’m not aware of.

thanks,

John

SDL 1.3’s mouse input on Windows was changed to use Raw Input (to support multiple mice), but that was only supported in more recent versions of Windows (XP and later) so it had to be changed back. And it was never completed.
That is all. The bug did not exist in SDL 1.2 because input was complete in 1.2------------------------

OT, but Windows XP is a “more recent version of Windows”?!

Windows XP RTMed in 2001. Heck, Vista went RTM over four years ago!

Sorry - just found that amusing! :)On Thu, Jan 20, 2011 at 10:53, Nathaniel J Fries wrote:
