w/ the latest sdl_mixer, is there any lag? i have a sound file that
doesn’t contain any silence in the beginning yet it lags in my code. i’m
guessing sdl_mixer doesn’t have lag … right?

also, sdl_mixer contains functions to do basic distance calculations
(like a 2-d openal), right? i noticed in the playwave demo some effects.

okay, just those two quick questions before i look into sdl_mixer.

Correct. It’s very simple, but it handles most of what a game needs.

I’ve heard complaints of lag, but usually this means the program has a
too-large mixahead buffer.
