REPOST : In Windows why does the SDL window contain it's own type of cursor

Hi All,
Under Windows I notcied that the Cursor within the SDL Window that is
created changes to a transparent Cursor. Is there a reason for this? I
would have thought that the SDL should respect the default cursor as
defined by the application that launched the SDL_Window. Are there any
SDL functions that allow you to manipulate the OS’s cursor?

Any insight into this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dominique

I get the feeling these posts are being ignored. If so can someone give

First:

  • Because no one knows the answer off the top of his head.
  • No one has time at the moment to look into it with the detail it deserves.

Second:

  • No one likes duplicate posts due to the poster not getting an answer
    immediately.
  • No one likes triplicate posts wondering why no one responded to the
    duplicates.
  • No one likes multiple copies of the triplicate posts.

If you wonder why the paid SDL-list staff isn’t responding it’s either
because they are out for lunch, or maybe because they don’t exist

Personally I rarely reply to post concerning Windows since I don’t use
it and know very little about it. Also it’s summer, and the few people
who know enough to answer might have gone playing outside for a change

So no worry, we haven’t started hating you yet but if you repost your
mails often enough you may become a candidate

Thanks for setting the record straight.
