Royalty Free (& others) sound archives (slightly OT, but pertinent)

Sorry this is slightly off topic… but it is still pertinent to SDL games
(at least ;)…

I was wondering if anyone has any good online sources for known royalty
free (and otherwise freely distributable) sound archives. (I.e., sounds
and music you can use freely in your open source games/software).

I know about Partners in Rhyme (http://www.partnersinrhyme.com/) and a
couple other places easily found on Yahoo!.. I also know of all the
CD collections… but I was hoping someone might have some other
/online/ suggestions.

Thx in advance.–

Maybe this should make it into a FAQ. But which FAQ should that be? SDL
or another one?–

Hi!

Maybe this should make it into a FAQ. But which FAQ should that be? SDL
or another one?

I think we could create a "games dev tips'n'tricks FAQ" (something

like that) that would have links to free sprites/backgrounds, sound sites,
even some artists… I dunno…

Thanks!

Eduardo.
