RSS for Subversion!

The webview of the Subversion repository now publishes RSS feeds.

These work on a per-directory basis. So if you want to watch just the
SDL 1.2 branch…

http://www.libsdl.org/cgi/viewvc.cgi/branches/SDL-1.2/?date=month&view=query&format=rss

…or what’s happening with SDL_mixer…

http://www.libsdl.org/cgi/viewvc.cgi/trunk/SDL_mixer/?date=month&view=query&format=rss

…or maybe our Google Summer of Code people…

http://www.libsdl.org/cgi/viewvc.cgi/branches/gsoc2008_audio_resampling/?date=month&view=query&format=rss
http://www.libsdl.org/cgi/viewvc.cgi/branches/gsoc2008_manymouse/?date=month&view=query&format=rss
http://www.libsdl.org/cgi/viewvc.cgi/branches/gsoc2008_force_feedback/?date=month&view=query&format=rss
http://www.libsdl.org/cgi/viewvc.cgi/branches/gsoc2008_iphone/?date=month&view=query&format=rss
http://www.libsdl.org/cgi/viewvc.cgi/branches/gsoc2008_nds/?date=month&view=query&format=rss

…or EVERY commit to any project or branch…

http://www.libsdl.org/cgi/viewvc.cgi/?date=month&view=query&format=rss

This this maintains a MySQL database of all commits and doesn’t have to
troll the repository for every query, it also allows a nice search
interface on the web in addition to the RSS feeds:

Enjoy!

very cool!

I can’t seem to get it working in my reader (firefox 3).

Here’s a validation link… where it points out a few problems:

http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.libsdl.org%2Fcgi%2Fviewvc.cgi%2F%3Fdate%3Dmonth%26view%3Dquery%26format%3Drss

… I just noticed the atom one seems to work for me, not the rss format …
