Screen not updating in Windows XP (oct' 05 thread)

I’m having a similar problem (to that described in the oct '05 thread)
with the screen on my laptop (Latitude D610) not
updating, however, if you move the cursor into on area where
you get a Windows “info box”, the SDL screen will update
during the ~5-sec that the info box is active on the screen.

When I run the same application on my desktop (Precision 650)
the screen updates without any problems.

I haven’t seen any new threads concerning this problem,
has anyone found a work-around?

Have you tried the code in CVS?

Have you tried the code in CVS?

I recompiled using the following code from CVS (devel folder):
sdl.lib dated 8/24/05
sdlmain.lib 8/24/05
sdl.dll 8/24/05 listed as sdl.dll 1.2.9.0

include/sdl header files 8/21/05

I’m getting the same screen results on the laptop, no screen update unless
the “info msg” box is active … haven’t tried the desktop unit

Hello !

I recompiled using the following code from CVS (devel folder):
sdl.lib dated 8/24/05 sdlmain.lib 8/24/05 sdl.dll
8/24/05 listed as sdl.dll 1.2.9.0

include/sdl header files 8/21/05

Please checkout the latest SDL development
version from CVS and try that. 8/24/05 is not really
the latest
