Screen resolution problem

Hi!

I’ve got a problem with changing resolutions under X11:
Everytime I start one of my (self-written) 640x480 pixels
fullscreen progs, the resolution stays 640x480 after leaving
the program. You can’t even change it any more with CTRL ALT +
or CTRL ALT - . What can I do against this behaviour?

thanks in advance

Make sure you call SDL_Quit() before you exit.

However, when fullscreen SDL programs do crash they often leave the screen in
this state and CTRL ALT +/- don’t work. Use ‘xvidtune -unlock’ to reactivate
the CTRL ALT combination. On Mon, Nov 20, 2000 at 10:47:17PM +0100, gnoack at guenthernoack.de wrote:

Cool trick! I usually just fire up Defendguin in fullscreen mode and
then quit. This’ll be much more efficient (since I won’t end up
playing Defendguin when I should be programming  )
