SDL 1.2.12 Rroblem

I’m trying to run an application thats using SDL 1.2.12 the compile is clean but
when I try to run the application, the following message appears:

…Unable to start program ‘file name’

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is
incorrect. Review the manifest file for possible errors…

I’m sure that I’ve setup the project correctly so whats the problem?
