I would really like people contributing documentation to SDL to coordinate
it with docs at libsdl.org and write the documentation on
http://wiki.libsdl.org, which is specifically set up for this. I’m trying
to consolidate documentation and resources for people trying to learn and
use SDL 1.3.

Can you please redirect people from this group to the SDL wiki site, with
instructions to coordinate with docs at libsdl.org?

Thanks!On Thu, Jan 13, 2011 at 10:34 AM, Alex Barry <alex.barry at gmail.com> wrote:

Sam, could you set up a mailing list for SDL documentation?

As I understand it docs at libsdl.org just goes to Sheena. On 13 January 2011 20:24, Sam Lantinga wrote:

Discussion of conventions on formatting, documentation errors,
requests for clarification, announcing new documentation,
requesting/prioritizing documentation, developing MoinMoin extensions
for use on the wiki. Anything related to the documentation itself as
opposed to what it’s documenting.

The wiki itself isn’t really suitable for a fast paced discussion.
Would also keep things a bit tidier than leaving notes on
documentation pages.On 13 January 2011 21:03, Sam Lantinga wrote:

Work complete. docs at libsdl.org is a mailing list for contributors to the
SDL wiki, it will be useful for contributors to swap tips, request
clarification, etc.

I will also be adding a feedback link to each page of the wiki that sends a
page-specific e-mail to the list, so contributors can help people out and
clarify confusing documentation.

Once everything is set up, I’ll announce the documentation mailing list more
widely.

Thanks everybody! :)On Mon, Jan 17, 2011 at 11:42 AM, Sam Lantinga <@slouken> wrote:
