SDL-based Browser Demo

Hey guys,

Just thought I’d share with you a little SDL-based 3D-Browser demo we’ve been working on called “WebFlow”. We use SDL for GL rendering, mouse/keyboard input, and window creation.

We built it using SDL 1.2.14 and our library, Awesomium Web Engine-- you can download the application at the bottom of this page (http://www.khrona.com/products/awesomium/download/), and you can find the source for it in our latest 1.6 RC3 SDK.

Try it out and lemme know what y’all think. :-)------------------------

Wow, this is awesome (no pun intended!) I’ve been looking for something

I was intrigued about your web engine, so I looked it up. I was displeased by the first thing I always check when looking at a new library.

$4800 is a steep price for a utility that is provided for free to both commercial and non-commercial projects elsewhere, no matter how much a company might make. Hell, that’s roughly the value of my saving’s account right now. Do you actually sell the commercial licenses?

Indie licenses are much more reasonable, but the $100k cap is pretty low. The typical cost of an indie game with any complexity exceeds $100,000… that makes your engine pretty much unusable.

That said, I’ll check out the browser itself when I have more spare time.------------------------
