SDL cross-platform compilation group/club/whatever?

I have a need to compile some of my open-source SDL apps on platforms I have no
access to (for example, I need Windows and Mac binaries)…

…So what I was wondering is if anyone wanted to start a SDL cross-platform
compilation/packaging group/club/whatever? Basically I was thinking it would be
nice to have a list/forum/thing/whatever somewhere (not on this list  where
people needing a binary on another system could go to match up with someone who
both have access to the needed platform /and/ can compile SDL apps on that
platform. My intention would be to have this new list/forum/thing/whatever be
very light on traffic (good luck, I know  and only for people with
projects posting for cross-platform help.

Anyone else interested? If so, you /may/ want to keep replies off this list…
unless Sam thinks this is something worthwhile for discusion here…–

Hi Sam

As you know, I’ve been building TuxTyping on BeOS for the past few
months, as well as a couple of other peoples’ SDL programs (they’re up
on www.BeBits.com). I’d be more than happy to help other people with
BeOS builds, as long as their app/game/whatever held some interest for
me. (I wouldn’t want to be responsible for building/packaging something
that I wasn’t willing to put in the time to test/debug properly).

I’m also currently experimenting with Mac OS X(see the other thread),
and once I get this up and running (so that I know what I’m doing!! :),
I’ll try and build TuxTyping, etc… on this platform as well.

Sorry for the long winded response - I guess the short answer is
"yes". :)—

Hello Samuel Hart !

I think this a pretty good idea. Something that i hate most is when there
are binarys on a webpage. Most of the time when these binary (f.e. exes)
are not from the author directly they were ugly old. For example
the newest version of the Game is 1.5 The WIN-EXE ist 0.9 or something
like that.
