Just a quick note to make a suggestion for the mailing list, would
it be easy to make Today’s Topics: list click able local links (anchor
tags) rather than having to read down to find the topic.

No. If you want that kind of support, consider switching to non-digest mode
on the list web page. You’ll get each message as an individual email, so it
would work similar to what you want. Seeing as how you use Gmail, you could
just set up a filter to set everything with [SDL] in the title as a label,
and archive it so it doesn’t clutter your inbox. That’s how I have it set
