SDL_image and Visual C++

Okay, it turned out to be a fair bit of work to get JPEG and PNG support
in the Win32 build of the SDL_image library, so I included those libraries
with the new Visual C++ project files.

A prerelease of the new code is available at:
http://www.libsdl.org/cvs/SDL_image-1.1.1.zip

It should build SDL_image with JPEG and PNG support out of the box on
Win32 with Visual C++. You’ll need to distribute jpeg.dll, libpng1.dll,
and zlib.dll with SDL_image.dll, all found in VisualC\graphics\lib.

Let me know if you want the source I put together to build working PNG
and JPEG libraries.

See ya!

Well, there goes my last, pitiful, excuse for not using PNG … :slight_smile:

You should probably drop some README files in the "VisualC/graphics"
directory telling what version the binaries are, where the source can be
found, and what license the libraries are under.

Good idea. The source doesn’t build out of the box, but yeah, I’ll do that.

Thanks!
