we are working on extanding the xinput extention of X,
I thought you guys are very exprianced with input devices on various
system, so I wanted to ask if you have any request or suggestion?
(beside fixing that annoying mouse zaxis thing).

First time I saw Sam say “yay”…
Yes, internationalized key input would be good but doesn’t XIM (on X, and
IME on Windows) already do that? Or is that not the same thing? It would
certainly be great to have one input server handle all inputs, though
(with different modules for different languages.)
