SDL Maelstrom?

Hello everyone.

I was wondering how the SDL port of Maelstrom is going?

Is the next Maelstrom/Linux going to be dependant on SDL? (That’s one way
to make sure that everyone gets SDL

Another thing to do is to release some demos(prolly some good DOS ones
with source) based on SDL.

We’ll certainly port our demo to SDL to try it out-as soon as SDL runs on
linuxppc…

I’ll try to port it tomorrow… Anybody got a C replacement for clone.S?

I’m pretty sure that clone() (in the man pages) is actually what sam
wants, it’s just that his computer doesn’t have a recent enough glib.

There are other problems not to do with threading->I get seg faults when
calling SDL_Init(). The pixel format routine is fine, everything else
dies->does this help?

perhaps sam could borrow my or mik’s machine to play with?

I’m a bit more local to Sam (I think, I base this on the .au emails
and might be able to get my hands on a powermac to let him play on. I
know we’ve got a few spare in the office, I just need to figure out how
to smuggle one out

Spare?! Why aren’t they web serving, or RC5 cracking, but I hope you’ve
got linux-pmac running on them.

His computer doesn’t have any glib.

Nope, I’d have to get onto a PowerMac and check it out.

Smuggle? Yay!

See ya!
