SDL_mixer problems, please help

Hi, im having problems with SDL_Mixer, i read a SDL_Mixer document and it
told me that i have to set the chunksize to certain size depending on my
target system’s settings. I dont know how make a calculation to get the
perfect chunksize for each individual system and if i dont do this, the mp3
skips and sounds like crap.

If anyone out there has had similar problems and can help me, please respond
or email me at ShAdOwS386, or contact me on aim as ShAdOwS386, i would
really really appreciate it…_________________________________________________________________

A thought – are you trying to decode a new section of the MP3 in each bit
of the callback? That alone could explain the skipping problem, as MP3
decoding isn’t trivial. If you are trying that, then you’re likely
spending too long trying to decode the MP3 bit and are outrunning the
SDL_Mixer buffer.

You should decode the MP3 in large sections using your scheduling
algorithm, and maintain an internal WAV-format buffer.–
