There are lots of new applications and games on the SDL website!

  • Egg Chess, an interesting variation on tic-tac-toe, written by Anders
    Lindstr?m, has been added to the games page.
  • GNUfo, a shoot-em up galaga like game by Charles Vidal has been added to
    the games page.
  • SDLSprite, a sprite library by Regis Quercioli, similar to CDX, has been
    added to the libraries page.
  • gnuboy, a Nintendo Gameboy Color emulator ported by Damian M Gryski, has
    been added to the applications page.
  • TheGuild, a first person raytraced adventure game work-in-progress, has
    been added to the games page.
  • VideoLan, a free DVD and MPEG player, has been added to the applications
    page.
  • Modeler, an arcade emulator for Sega’s Model 1 and System 32 games, has
    been added to the applications page.
  • Alizarin Tetris, a “Next Tetris” clone with multi-player and AI options,
    written by Wes Weimer, been added to the games page.
  • Several german SDL tutorials are now available:
  • zpong, a german version of pong with better graphics, has been added to
    the games page.
  • Synaethesia, a program to represent music graphically in real-time, written
    by Paul Harrison, has been added to the applications page.
  • NeoPocott/SDL, a Neo Geo Pocket emulator, has been added to the
    applications page.
  • A port of Abuse by Anthony Kruize has been added to the games page.
  • TuxTyping, an educational typing tutor for children by Sam Hart has been
    added to the games page.
