#sdl on IRCnet

i know there is some #sdl on some other irc networks, but i only use IRCnet,
so, as #sdl was empty, i have placed myself in #sdl along with some bots to
keep the place tidy, so if you use ircnet come to #sdl and sit in silence
with a load of bots!

bye!

yea… 'cept i’m to inept / stupid / lazy to run two irc networks at once
email + msn + ircnet = way too much distractions already

but now #sdl is up on ircnet and protected by a sdl advocate  just incase
another group with the initals SDL tries to steal it

Most IRC clients in my experience have made it pretty trivial to
connect to multiple servers simultaneously.

Maybe another special interest group about something else called "SDL"
is a more legitimate use of your #SDL IRC channel than just camping it
out for a special interest group who are not, for the most part, too
inept / stupid / lazy to connect to freenode? On Sun, Jan 4, 2009 at 1:21 PM, Neil White wrote:

then whats the point of maintaining and protecting an irc channel on a
network where nobody enters, giving that the oficial channel is already
online and humanly populated?

But, well, do as you like, but at least warn the people in #sdl at ircnet that
the official SDL channel is at freenode, so they don’t get confused.>

gotta love you guyz eh? whats the point in anything ?

i do actually use the channel for discussing projects sometimes… i just
posted it here so if anyone else is on irc net they can come and talk to the
bots… which arnt even in there at the moment…

since i posted this message there have been thousands join ircnet #sdl they
are all very confused

The problem with bots is that they don’t have any good conversation …

I’m not familiar with ircnet specifically, but that looks like they don’t like your connection. One reason I’m familiar with for that is if you’re connecting via a proxy server. Are you doing that in this case? (If not, I have no idea.)>----- Original Message ----

Not that I’m aware of. EFNet likes me, and they don’t like proxies, so
I doubt it.On Mon, Jan 5, 2009 at 4:37 PM, Mason Wheeler wrote:

known networks… irc will eat you… i reccomend finding a trivia channel

is there not an irc based sdl virtual world about?

is there a bot on freenode you can ask simple sdl questions? or type ?? and
search the wikis out there for game stuff? could be cool…
