Ah, I can’t be of much help, myself… I’m curious, though, do other
fullscreen games/programs that you run under Win2000 also get covered
up by your ICQ client?

well  heh … only fullscreen stuff i have are the screensavers in windows
and they work just fine on top of icq…

i’m a linux guy myself … trying to port a little program to windows…
if there is no way to make the window ontop of icq then this sounds like
a bug to me ?? :))

This used to be a big problem. Lots of older games used to do this (I think
QuakeII was even one of them – I may be wrong).

There is a way to make it appear on top of ICQ, but I don’t know how. My
guess is if we asked “a pro” they could tell you.

Sam, could you ask someone else at Blizzard as I’m pretty sure they have run
into this problem in the past.> ----- Original Message -----

Yes indeed. Starcraft has this problem…

Cya,
Ga?tan.

I think that this may be related to the way Win2K manages
desktops.

Take a look at this article in MSDN

about making an alert box appear on top of the topmost window,
for example a screen saver.—

So, in other words, the ICQ client is acting like an alert box?
So, in that case, there’s really nothing one can do (except close or hide
the ICQ client). Makes sense. And, thankfully, not an SDL issue
