SDL SVG logo

Hello,

For a while I’ve noticed that the SDL SVG logo available on
http://www.libsdl.de/logo/ would not display properly in Firefox or
Inkscape (I think this is due to font related issues). Using Illustrator
I’ve taken the original SVG and converted it into a only vectors (so you
will be unable to change the text but it should display in more places).
Here’s a temporary copy of the resultant SVG:
http://sucs.org/~sits/test/sdl.svg (which seems to now work in Firefox
and can be opened in Inkscape). Hopefully this will be good enough to
replace http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Sdl-logo.png

Would it be possible for the original .ai file of the logo to also be
posted to http://www.libsdl.de/logo/ or is it carefully maintained to
avoid people creating knockoffs?–

As another point of reference, that one doesn’t display in Opera either.

Yes SVGs support alpha transparency and how that transparency is shown
is down to the SVG renderer. For example the background of Tux is
transparent on this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Tux.svg .
However http://sucs.org/~sits/test/sdl.svg is not transparent. I think
if you have an SVG editor (or if you are careful with a regular editor)
it is trivial to make it transparent though (just delete away the
Background_Bild_2_ and its group).On Sun, 2007-07-29 at 15:16 -0500, Jonathan Greig wrote:
