SDL_ttf - What is FreeType?

SDL_ttf - What is FreeType ???

Hi,

I am currently working on a Linux version of my SDL based Windows game.

The problem I have now is that text drawn using SDL_ttf seems to differ
slightly on Windows and Linux.

What is FreeType?
I dont think I use FreeType on Windows, and the SDL_ttf works on Windows
fine.

Can someone help me - just trying to make text look same on both platforms.

Seems like the font is same, but the blending is different…

Hello !

FreeType is the library that is SDL_ttf using
internally for rendering fonts. SDL_ttf is just a
wrapper for FreeType, to make it easier to use it.
