SDL_ttf: Where can find free TTF download with Chinese?

I’ve just got the SDL_ttf demo compiled. Then I tried
with the TTF files on my XP. The only one which works
is mingliu.ttc. The rest, when it displays Chinese
then all English letters become unreadable.

Does anyone know any free TTF unicode files?

thanks

Which of course doesn’t support Chinese… I guess
http://www.wazu.jp/gallery/Fonts_ChineseTraditional.html or
http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/fonts.html might be a better bet…On Sun, 2007-05-20 at 20:58 +0100, Sitsofe Wheeler wrote:

For What It’s Worth, Tux Paint uses the following font for Chinese Traditional:

ftp://ftp.tuxpaint.org/unix/x/tuxpaint/fonts/source/tuxpaint-ttf-chinese-traditional-2004.06.05.tar.gz

HanWangKaiMediumChuIn is a registered trademark of HtWang Graphics
Laboratory ©Copyright Dr. Hann-Tzong Wang, 2004.
(GNU GPL license)

and this for Chinese Simplified:

ftp://ftp.tuxpaint.org/unix/x/tuxpaint/fonts/source/tuxpaint-ttf-chinese-simplified-2004.06.05.tar.gz

“AR PL SungtiL GB”, a high-quality Chinese TrueType font (gbsn00lp.ttf)
generously provided by Arphic Technology to the Free Software community
under the “Arphic Public License”.

Author: Arphic Technology Co., Ltd.
URL: http://www.arphic.com.tw/

In fact, we actually have a clever way of reducing the Traditional font down
to only the glyphs required for the default Tux Paint Chinese translations,
and Stamps description translations. (It goes from about 13MB to less than
700KB!)

See Song Huang’s Python and FontForge scripts stored in the Tux Paint
source archive, under ‘fonts/locale/zh_tw_docs/’. Here’s a link to them
in the CVS repository at SourceForge.net:

http://tuxpaint.cvs.sourceforge.net/tuxpaint/tuxpaint/fonts/locale/zh_tw_docs/

Good luck!!!On Sat, 2007-05-19 at 00:03 +1000, Phuoc Can Hua wrote:
