SDL wiki

I was browsing the wiki for a little documentation from the SDL website, and
it looks like some of the pages have been hijacked for porn ads. One was
the key event page( http://www.libsdl.org/cgi/docwiki.cgi/SDLKey ), which I
removed the links, but it turned into one big porno ad [looks like it has
been re-edited again back to the porno ads]. Is anyone able to help clean
up the wiki/maintain it a little better? It looks like the wiki only keeps
one previous revision, so once it’s been editted more than once with random
ads, those pages are lost (maybe I’m wrong?)
I rely quite a bit on the wiki, so it’s unfortunate that there seems to be
such a low security on it.

It seems no one has admin access anymore, so some spam is impossible
to get rid of, but this one’s no problem. It’s fixed for the moment.

Try looking here for older versions of the page:
http://www.libsdl.org/cgi/docwiki.cgi/SDLKey?action=info
(this is what you get when you click the ‘i’ icon with the blue
background in the top-right corner of the page)

It looks like the wiki only keeps
one previous revision, so once it’s been editted more than once with random
ads, those pages are lost (maybe I’m wrong?)

The wiki keeps diffs between revisions, and you can go back and view
previous versions of each page. Spam is a chronic problem on the SDL
wiki, but using a newer version of MoinMoin with TextChas, etc. would
help, so would requiring people to log in before editing.

I rely quite a bit on the wiki, so it’s unfortunate that there seems to be
such a low security on it.

There was a project to upgrade the wiki prior to documenting
SDL-1.3… anyone know what’s happening with that lately? On 26/05/2010, Alex Barry <alex.barry at gmail.com> wrote:

Thanks for checking that out, Kenneth, and finding that link.
Take care,
