SDL with fbcon

Hallo!

Great work! Thanks. I’m a big fan of fbcon and was very happy to see that SDL
can use it. Sadly the text with alpha background flickers so heavily
that it is difficult to watch. Is that a problem of sdl or of the game (eg
wesnoth, it’s not there under X11)? Can I do something against it? What
library has SDL to be linked against to support fbcon?

That shouldn’t happen. Maybe you have a misconfigured fbcon system? What
is the vertical refresh rate. If it is too low try to edit /etc/fb.modes

Maybe the flickering comes from the game not properly implementing the double
buffer. If you have the source try to impose some options such as {H,S}WSURFACE
double buffer etc…

SDL requires no library for the fbcon backend.
