SDL2 slides from Steam Dev Days

In case anyone wants these, here are my slides for the “Getting Started
with Linux Game Development” and “Game Development with SDL 2.0” talks I
did at Steam Dev Days.

 https://icculus.org/SteamDevDays/

Both talks were recorded, and Valve will be posting those video
eventually (and probably copies of these slides, too), but they tweeted
that it will be “a few weeks” for that, so check back later!

Thanks for this Ryan, I dig your NASCAR jacket, and those slides on Visual
Studio were a good laugh.

By the way, do you have plans on doing Flourish again? On Fri, Jan 17, 2014 at 5:24 PM, Ryan C. Gordon wrote:

Hey Ryan, thanks for your effort! Unfortunately all three links still lead
into your lovely
404 text adventure…

Awesome!

These are definitely worth checking out, even if you’re a pro. You’re
likely to find a tool or tip that you didn’t know about before. On Fri, Jan 17, 2014 at 3:24 PM, Ryan C. Gordon wrote:

I enjoyed both of these presentations a lot  Thanks for sharing.

Hi Ryan,

I love your Nascar jacket. It’d be cool if I could get one (need to work harder!).

Thanks for sharing! It’s pretty fun reading the presentation, and very informational.

One question, what IDE would you suggest to people used to work with Visual Studio ?

I hear many people saying QtCreator (can’t back this myself as I have never
used Visual Studio
in my life); regardless it’s probably one of the best IDEs free open source
has to offer.

Thanks a lot guys. I’ll get it a try.
