Segmentation fault ?!?

Howdy!

I have just installed SDL, and want to try the demos, but
when I try to execute one of the examples I just get a segmentation fault
(core dumped)

Anyone ???

Don’t want to seem pedantic, but it might help if you gave same
information about your system (OS, processor, compiler version)

Sure thing.

I am running a just installed-nothing-fancy-ReadHat-5.0
With a S3 graphics card, cyrix p166+ CPU.
