It means that SMPEG can no longer be compiled with SDL_mixer support, at
least not from that version forward. However you can still utilize
SDL_mixer along side SMPEG just send SDL_mixer the right hooks to mix
your medias audio.
As far as I can tell it is still possible to compile SDL_mixer with
SMPEG support, just not the otherway around. Hope that answers your
question.
