So, no one knows how to get SDL 1.2.15 working with ML 10.8.2?

I’ve built this sucker 9 ways from Sunday (tests included) and it just gives me:

Could not initialize SDL Unsupported display mode

From what I’ve read, I should be able to get the precompiled binary to work just fine by copying it to /System/Frameworks – but no joy.

I know there are newer versions of SDL out there but I need to use 1.2.15.

Your help with this is greatly appreciated.
