Support for OSX PPC with SDL 1.3/2.0

I think this was mentioned previously, but I forgot what the consensus
was. I’m wondering what support there will be for building OSX apps
compatible with SDL 2.0 for PPC machines. Will it be supported in the
mainline release? And if not, what (if anything) would have to be done
to implement this??

A fairly sizable percentage of my apps’ users are still on PPC, with no
plans of upgrading anytime soon. And to be honest I kind of agree with
them. Their hardware is quite fast for the application I develop, so
there’s no real need for them to move to Intel architecture yet.

Thanks,

We haven’t intentionally broken anything, so you should be able to build
SDL 2.0 on Xcode 3.2 for PPC. If you find anything broken, feel free to
submit a patch! :)On Tue, Jan 31, 2012 at 6:28 AM, Stephen Anthony wrote:

That’s great to hear. Once I get my PowerMac G5 set up with 10.4 and
10.5, I’ll report any issues I find (hopefully there won’t be any).

Thanks,
