"TetriCrisis 4 110% A.I." Is Being Ported To SDL 2

Hi,

My team and I are in the process of porting our popular SDL 1.2 game “TetriCrisis 4 110% A.I.” to SDL 2.0.
Expect a fully functional game based on SDL 2.0 in a few weeks.

This new SDL 2.0 2d game engine is code named: “GT-R Twin TurboCharged”.

As always the game’s sources will be open-source.

Hi,

My team and I are making good progress with our conversion from SDL 1.2 to SDL 2.0
of our popular Tetris video game “TetriCrisis 4 110% A.I.”.

We have completed both the sprite and text engine cores and they accept original engine’s values.
(both sprites and text properly scale when the SDL 2 window is resized)

We will continue with porting and will describe our progress in this forum thread.

Hi,

The porting of our popular game “TetriCrisis 4 110% A.I.” from SDL 1.2 to SDL 2 is going well.
The GUI system is fully operational now.

We think it will be finished in about 1-2 weeks.
We still have to do the following:

  • [Options], [How To Play], [High Scores], and [About] screens
  • New game options screen
  • Playing game screen
  • New high score name input screen
  • Music and sound effects core
  • Remappable joystick(x3) input core

The only problem we have come across with new SDL 2 is:
Texture alpha transparency fails if the SDL 2 window is resized(Windows 8)

has unfortunately hit a wall: SDL2_Mixer has some major issues on Windows®.

We are continuing with development and are hoping Sam or Ryan will fix SDL2_Mixer
and we will have audio in the game at a later time.

The port is about 65% complete and is playable at this point.
Just like the previous release, this new SDL 2.0 release will be open-source.

SDL_sound only decodes audio formats, it doesn’t handle playback at
all.
