Thanks, but OpenGL still won't work

Thanks, That fixed my mouse problem. I installed Mesa 4.0 and when I
run it’s OpenGL demos it says: “GLUT:Fatal Error in [program’s name]:
Could not open display:”. I know that it isn’t a SDL problem, but
maybe it’ll help you find the problem. Thanks.

  • If it’s not a SDL problem, don’t send it to the list, as there are dozens
    of other lists to accomodate your specific problem(s).

  • Anything requiring X must be executed “in X”, your problem above looks
    like:
    a) You don’t have permissions to write to your X display, or
    b) You’re not “in X” when you’re trying to execute the program (try
    executing it from a xterm or something).
