it’s not a “why is the bug not fixed yet?” attitude but rather a "Is there a workaround or should I just use windows until it’s fixed?"
and how can I hire an experienced programmer, I’m just learning, not making a commercial game, and since I want to be an experienced programmer, I won’t really want to hire one, I also am just a sudent you know
I think I’ll look at the source code for my first time and see if I can understand anything

Yes, Thank you a lot

I really wish I could help, But now I’m not really experienced and looking at code made by others (and sometimes code made by me) makes me confused, I’ve started C# programming > 3.5 years ago and C++ after that, I really liked programming but didn’t have much time to program because of school and stuff like that.

I’m really thinking about studying computer engineering next year at university, I think that could also help me with programming in general.

BTW what is a simplified showcase which I send to help the bugtracker, I’ve already sent the code and the OS distribution I’m using which got me the error, Is there anything else.

Thank you very much,

strip out all the code unrelated to the bug and submit that to the
bugtracker.
makes it easier for other people to understand the nature of the bug.
maybe some more details about your system would help too.
you could also try your code on another system to see if you can

The reply may be a bit harsher than needed but the fundamental truth
remains that SDL is community driven project and in practice this means the
bug will be fixed when Sam or Ryan (whom as I learned via Twitter was in
the process of becoming a father as we speak, so I don’t think he’s in the
programming mood!) find the time to do it, or when someone else with enough
time and knowledge hits the same issue and decides to fix it. Sadly, the
odds of your particular problem getting solved overnight are slim, so
you’ve got to be patient!> On Tue, Jan 31, 2012 at 11:27 AM, Marcel Wysocki wrote:
