I’m thinking that SDL isn’t capable os using USB.
Does anybody know where I can find this information! On using usb in programing.
I know this is not a SDL question but i’m out of options!

USB joystick - linux 2.4, windows 98 both work
USB keyboard - same
USB mouse - ummm… windows - yep; linux/console??? (linux/X works
(for some reason I get -no- mouse capabilities under SDL/fb…
I’ve got a Logitech WheelMouse USB - but I’m using it on PS/2
port at the moment. Works fine under X, gpm fwiw)
USB WebCam III - works just fine - but other than an SDL app I did up to
display it, it’s not an SDL device g…
USB joystick is -exactly- like using any other device - except I think SDL
supports the /dev/input/* system which gives more info
USB keyboard - same deal.
If you’re looking for hot-plug notification or a listing of available
devices, or for that matter device setup - that’s all OS-specific and not
really an SDL issue afaik. But IANASCD (I Am Not An SDL Core Developer)
