I was wondering if anyone has gotten function insight and autocomplete
working in VC++ 6.0 for the sdl functions, structs etc, and if so how did
you do it? I know this is a lazy programmers feature, but it would certainly
shorten my time spent looking up definitions in the docs.
You need to include the SDL headers in your projects

I had of course added SDL.h, but it didn’t work until I added all of the .h
files to the project.
The function insight still doesn’t work, but beggars can’t be choosers I
guess.

That looks awesome, thanks. I don’t know if I’ll ever get any of my Linux
work done if I start uning tools like that though ;-).> ----- Original Message -----

Super, and now use Google to find a keygen if you don’t use it commercially …
Hint: If you found the link browse to it with internetexplorer, 'cause
downloading from that site requires it …

lol, just use astalavista.box.sk Keygen quick…
Well, 10 seconds finding a link, 20 to switch browsers, 5 to download …
is alstalavista really faster? Not from my experience …

It’s only seventy bucks. Our visual studio cost almost 20 times that. If it
does what it says it does, I think that’s a pretty reasonable price. And
considering this is a developer newsgroup, I don’t think we should encourage
the piracy of each other’s software (unless none of us ever want to make
money).> ----- Original Message -----

Not using something commercially is a reason for stealing? When you can’t
afford something then just don’t use it. When you can afford it, well Visual
Assist is worth every cent.

There is the counter-argument that if he can’t afford it, he won’t buy
it so the people who wrote it make no money off him - just the same as
if he’d copied it.
But this is off-topic, and besides, everyone should just use Emacs
(or vi… but Emacs has some fun features lacking in vi).On Thu, Mar 07, 2002 at 11:39:07PM +0100, Dimitri wrote:

I’ve written my own headers for various DLLs I’ve written, and the
autocomplete thing works in those.
You need to #include the header (obviously!), but I think you also need
to add it to the project (so it shows under the ‘files’ tab on the tree
thing).
Occasionally it breaks, and nothing shows, and VC++6 seems to sometimes
decide to remove everything from the tree views, or even eat your
project files. Two days ago it switched my keyboard from UK to US -
while I was typing.

Thanks, didn’t know I had to add the headers to the project. Now VC7 does it
without adding the headers to the project. Sicne I haven’t gone exclusively
VC7 yet (and nothing I do with SDL is using 7), this will help me alot.> ----- Original Message -----
