Hi,
I have played with the VP3 video codec and FreeCraft now supports AVI
files with VP3 video codec and OGG vorbis audio codec. Until http://theora.org/
is ready this may be useful.
My first tests could be found here (only video play):

The final version is in FreeCraft CVS.
If somebody wants to make a complete SDL example, he can contact me for
