Whats the deal with framerates in SDL with OpenGL?

I had a Mac for about 6 months and did some coding on it with SDL. I had a 733G4 with a Geforce2MX card. I was getting 58FPS or .017-.016 on my timer. Now I have a PC again and am getting the same FPS with a Radeon 8500 and a Athlon XP 1800+ seems odd? What gives? Thanks

GeForce two-thirds… ie, any card from ATI.

Seriously, it probably has more to do with vertical retrace sync. Turn
that off in your drivers both places and you’ll see a dramatic framerate
boost most likely.On Sat, Mar 09, 2002 at 10:51:18PM -0600, Mars_999 wrote:

Joseph Carter Don’t feed the sigs

Klingon function calls do not have ‘parameters’ – they have ‘arguments’
– and they ALWAYS WIN THEM.
