Why does [Maximize] window button not work in S.D.L. window ?

Hi everyone.

I am designing a game for the P.C. Windows platform using S.D.L. 1.2.10.
I am running a 640x480 window.

My question is the following:
The [Maximize] button is displayed, but user is not able to click it to
maximize the game’s window. When I designed another game with DirectX, the
[Maximize] window button was accessible and required no extra code or different
BMP resources to work.

How do I make the [Maximize] window button work with S.D.L. ?
Also, would I need alternate BMP resources for the windows new resolution?
or will S.D.L. automatically scale the window’s BMP graphic resources to fit
the new window size ???

Why does [Maximize] window button not work in S.D.L. window ?

You need to add SDL_RESIZABLE to SDL_SetVideoMode ()

That way you get a Resizable Window and get a Resize Event
when the user resizes it.

You should try out SDL 1.2.11, it is the latest stable version.
