Windows programming

I want to port one of my sdl programs from linux to windows, but I can’t
use sdl
with visual c++ 4. Is it possible to use sdl for windows programming
with DJGPP?

i’ve compiled SDL with borland’s free compiler without too
much difficulty. i believe the mingw32 compiler environment
is soon to be (if not already) a pretty officially supported
compile environment for windows.

where does the build breakdown? is it because of the VisC 5
project files? or is the compiler just not able to deal with
the code?

Yes, the mingw32 environment is officially supported:
http://www.libsdl.org/Xmingw32/

I need to add the native tools to the web page, but they work too.
