There is any FAQ about getting accelerated blits under X11? I have updated
my NVidia drivers and I got a significant GL perfomance boost (from 69 to
200 fps in SDL demo), but anyway I didnt got any accelerated surface
blits. I would like what can I really get with my nvidia vanta under
linux.–

If you want hardware acceleration under X11, you’ll have to use DGA:

Sorry, scratch my last post about SDL_HWSURFACE. This is exactly what I was
looking for.

If you want hardware acceleration under X11, you’ll have to use DGA:
