Xfree display

Well, this is kinda unrelated to SDL, but when I run many apps (including
apps with the last stable version of SDL) in X, I cannot access fullscreen
or and DGA options because my X server is setting my display to unix:0.0
instead of the :0.0 The display is not remote and I run Red Hat 6.1, but
still don’t know why it’s doing it. Does anyone know how to make it so that
my X server doesn’t think my display is remote?
p.s. I am running as root.______________________________________________________

SDL 1.0.2 (released later this week) has much better fullscreen support.
