16 bit color weirdness SDL

I?ve been working on a color issue using a 16 bit card for a few weeks.
When I run a game I wrote using fullscreen SDL changes the color palette and
screws up the lower color values for rgb. When I run the same app in
windowed mode it doesn?t. Any ideas?

What card, what operating system, what resolution and depth are you requesting?

Ultimarc arcadevga
Ubuntu 7.1,8.04,8.1
640x480x16bit

The reason I’m using the ultimarc is this app has to interface to older cga
arcade monitors. The ultimarc card does that (15.7.) The ultimarc card only
supports 16bit color (max) in that mode. It uses extended vesa modes.> ----- Original Message -----
