ANNC: Kobo Deluxe 0.4pre8

(I think) I have fixed the issues with the audio engine, and I took the chance to clean up and optimize the off-line synth a little. (Block based processing instead of sample-by-sample.)

Please test, especially on Windows.

Done…

Well, it’s already much better than the previous version: it doesn’t crash
when I change audio settings and there is much less noise. BUT there is
still some noise :frowning:

See ya,
Ga?tan.

A small bug (or misfeature) I just noticed… when pressing alt-enter, it
does toggle fullscreen/windowed BUT whenever I start the game, it switch
back to whatever it was before…

Yes, that’s because it doesn’t mark the configuration as changed, which means it’s not saved upon exit. I considered fixing that, but I was struck by a feeling that it might be a bad idea…

Then again, the worst thing that can happen is that the user has to edit or delete kobodl.cfg. (Which does not affect player profiles or highscores, BTW.)

Ok… scratches head a lot

Is the noise affected by the latency setting in the audio options in any way? (IIRC, the default is 50 ms, which is too short for some Win32 systems.)

Also, if you crank up the reverb and/or the compressor gain to the max, does this noise reverberate along with the “real” sound, or does it still sound the same?
